Spring Fever

To some of you it will not be a shock that I changed my hair color again. I guess I was inspired by all of the bright colors that I paint with (actually I just got bored) ... I now match the painting of ScoutDog (see her peeking over my shoulder) that we have hanging in the bathroom and was the springboard that got this crazy ScoutDog Studios started.

So I've been working on finishing up the 2005 Catalog to get out to all of the stores that have requested it. And I'll be getting all of the products updated online as well with the launch of the ScoutDog Barktique. The goal is to have the big launch by the end of the month. There will be a bunch of new designs and products.

Hmmmm ... what color will my hair be next?

Cats are funny, too

Just when I thought that IzzyCat couldn't get any crazier, I look up from the laptop this morning and she is starring at me while sitting in the kitchen sink ... oh to be a cat and find beauty in the mundane.

But it was inspiring to me as I'm trying to finish up the catalog of products and create some new designs, seeing IzzyCat sitting in the kitchen sink helped remind me to keep a sense of humor while I work away.

I don't say it often enough ... thank you IzzyCat. I try to remember your strange helpful ways the next time you are driving me crazy when you are eatting cardboard shipping boxes or chewing on new product designs.

So here is a sneakpeek at one of the new products ...

This is just one of the cards for the AlphaCat Alphabet Cards (26 cards celebrating cats from A-Z). And yes of course this is a full set of AlphaDog Alphabet Cards as well ... how could I ever forget the dogs?

Here kitty, kitty ...

So call me a Dog Snob. I admit it.

When I started ScoutDog Studios the focus was mainly dogs due to the inspiration from Scout but also because of the diversity I saw in dog breeds. Then when IzzyCat came along I started adding some cat designs and to me, at that time, a cat was a cat.

But I was wrong. After getting additional feedback at the show in Atlanta and requests from customers, I decided to add more cats. And I found that cat breeds are very diverse and unique ... and deserving of being included in IzzyCat Designs ... the meow, the hiss, the attitude.

So there will be an entire new line of cat products coming very soon. And for all of you great stores out there who have requested catalogs ... they are coming soon as well. I just want to make sure that all of these great products are included.
