A new shop is opening in LoDo in downtown Denver, and I'm lucky enough to have been selected by the creative owners to display and sell my art and products there. (See the photo of my little display area above.)

Hands 2 Hearts is an Artists Emporium and Coffee Bar and includes the work of a number of local artists ... there is really something for everyone. In addition to the store, there is also a coffee bar. They open on Thursday, July 29th so if you are in the area stop by 1518 Wazee and check it out.

Also during the Grand Opening celebration week, I'll be having an artist's reception on Thursday, August 26th from 3-5 p.m.  So stop by, have a coffee and enjoy the creative atmosphere.

The family (minus the IzzyCat who does not travel well or play well with others ... sorry kitty) took a short trip to the dog park and swimmin' hole this morning.
 
There is nothing better then seeing my puppy so happy and smiling ... well except seeing the husband get sprayed by a shakin' water dog.
 
 

I know this is what ScoutDog (as well as IzzyCat, though really she probably doesn't care) has been thinking these past few months. I have been working non-stop on everything from website design to logo illustration to commission paintings to product development to accounting ... And her day revolves around our 11 a.m. walk around the park, 4 p.m. dinner, and 8 p.m. after-dinner playing fetch.

Oh to have the dogs' life. I know that I'm nuts, but I can't stop because I want to keep creating and make this business a success. So the beginning of the week is going to focus on finishing up work for clients and then it will be 3 days of focusing on ScoutDog business plan.

... of course that will have to be after the walk.

A rare moment this weekend where ScoutDog was brave enough to venture out of the bathroom between firework blasts to peek out the window ... I captured a little father/puppy bonding this afternoon.

... In other news ... this weekend we took my parents up to Blackhawk for some belated-Father's Day celebrating with some fun at the Blackjack tables and slot machines. ... The boys didn't do so well ... It was all about lady luck this weekend.

During my first try at Blackjack, I had six blackjacks. Wicked cool beans. And then my mom took some spins at the $1 slots and won $50.

Pack your bags ... we're headin' to Vegas baby.
